Who Can Enter
Participation in Gourmoo Cookoff is open to legal residents of the 50 United States & the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older.
Show us why you deserve a chance to compete in Gourmoo Cookoff's finals. Send us a 2-3 minute video of you preparing or presenting a recipe that features lactose-free cow's milk, like LACTAID® Milk, and showcases your
- unique passion for cooking and food
- personality
- creativity
One video entry per person. The entry and voting period ends 11/09/10. Don't miss out!
Video Dos- show yourself preparing or presenting a recipe/dish featuring at least ½ cup of lactose-free cow's milk, like LACTAID® Milk (Fat Free, 1%, 2%, Whole, Chocolate, and Calcium Enriched), as a main ingredient
- you may include step-by-step recipe instructions, but this isn't required – be creative, entertaining and fun
- your video should be at least one minute long, but no longer than four minutes
- your video should be of just you, no one else – make sure your face is clearly visible For more information view our Competition Rules and Regulations.
Video Don'ts
- don't include any trademarked video footage, music or images without permission unless they consist entirely of content you created yourself
- don't include any other visible brand names or logos besides LACTAID® Milk (LACTAID® Milk is sponsoring Gourmoo Cookoff's finals, but note, showing a carton of LACTAID® Milk is NOT required. Helpful Hint: pour your recipe ingredients into bowls and measuring cups to avoid featuring visible brand names or logos besides LACTAID® Milk.) Recipe Guidelines
In addition to your video, you'll need to enter a text recipe of the lactose-free cow's milk dish prepared/presented in your video.
- the recipe needs to feature at least ½ cup of lactose-free cow's milk, like LACTAID® Milk (Fat Free, 1%, 2%, Whole, Chocolate, Calcium Enriched), as a main ingredient
- the recipe may include butter; however, any other dairy ingredients must also be lactose-free
- the recipe may or may not be an original recipe you created; just give credit where credit is due
- recipes may include alcohol but may not be recipes for alcoholic beverages

Entry & Voting Period
The entry and voting period ends November 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). The earlier you submit your entry, the more time you have to accrue votes; so get your entry in asap!
Selecting Finalists to Compete in LA
On 11/9/2010 at 7:00 p.m. ET, voting ends. Four finalists will be identified by the Gourmoo Cookoff host and panel of judges. The host and panel of judges will be selecting finalists based on voting results and the extent to which each entry showcases the following criteria:
- unique passion for cooking and food
- personality
- creativity
Potential Finalists will be notified by email, mail or phone on or around November 16, 2010.
The Gourmoo Cookoff Finals in LA
Sponsored by LACTAID® Milk.
The finalists will fly to Los Angeles, CA, to participate in the Gourmoo Cookoff finals December 2nd through December 6th, 2010. (They'll be provided with standard economy airfare, four nights' accommodation, meals and ground transportation.)
While in Los Angeles, they'll compete in a cooking competition where they each prepare dishes featuring LACTAID® Milk for the host and panel of judges. The competition is broken down into five mini cookoff challenges.
Gourmoo Cookoff Theme: Dinner Party
- Challenge 1 – Prepare an APPETIZER
- Challenge 2 – Prepare a SIDE
- Challenge 3 – Prepare an ENTREE
- Challenge 4 – Prepare a DESSERT
- Challenge 5 – The two highest scoring contestants make a recipe of their choosing which features lactose-free cow's milk – a "WILD CARD" recipe that they think will most impress the judges. Judges evaluate the wild card dish and discuss the two contestants' performances throughout the series to determine who is the Grand Prize Winner of Gourmoo Cookoff.
Prizes!
Each finalist will be provided with provided with standard economy airfare to and from Los Angeles – $600 Approximate Retail Value (ARV); four nights' accommodation – $800 ARV; meals and ground transportation – $250 ARV.
The prizes for the mini cookoff challenges include a Cuisinart® DLC-2014CHB Power Prep Plus® 14-Cup Food Processor*, a Wusthof Classic 8-piece Knife Set, a Simply Calphalon Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set and a KitchenAid® Artisan® 5-Quart Stand Mixer. Each individual prize has an approximate retail value of $250. Challenge winners may choose from the prize specified for the challenge they won or a $250 gift card to winner's choice of Williams Sonoma, Cooking.com or Crate & Barrel.
The grand prize for the final challenge is a $2,500 gift card for an excursion to a culinary destination of the winner's choice through Epitourean.

5 BASIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS!
- The recipe/dish you feature in your entry should include at least ½ cup of lactose-free cow’s milk
- Any other dairy ingredients must also be lactose-free, with the exception of butter
- Keep your video to 4 minutes or less
- Don’t show any other branded products or logos besides LACTAID® Milk
- Don't include any video footage, music or images without permission unless they consist entirely of content you created yourself
